Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Prithviraj’ and Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Shamshera’ to be released on the OTT platform?

According to Spotboye’s report, Aditya Chopra is taking the digital streaming platform very seriously these days. However, before the Corona epidemic, Yash Raj Films was against their rules to release their films on any streaming platform.
Earlier, several big production houses started diverting their films to digital platforms, while Yash Raj Films is also considering digital platforms. It has started with ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky absconding’. Recently the film has been released on Amazon Prime Video.
It is now heard that the makers are planning to release Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Shamshera’ and Akshay Kumar’s ‘Prithviraj’ on the digital platform. A very close friend of the Chopra family revealed, ‘Why should Yash Raj not choose a digital option at such a time? I think this is a very sensible and practical decision.

On 17 February, YRF announced its lineup of films which would be released in 2021-2022. Shamshera was scheduled to be released on 25 June 2021 and ‘Prithviraj’ was to be released on 5 November 2021 this Diwali. The epidemic has caused havoc, followed by a lockdown in most parts of the country. This is the reason why YRF is also moving towards the digital platform.
