Amazon Prime Video has presented today the official trailer of one of its most anticipated series. No, it is not the ambitious fiction within the universe of The Lord of the rings, but yes I Know What You Did Last Summer, a kind of ‘reboot’ in the form of a series of the famous horror franchise of the 90s to which we are wanting to sink our teeth. The fiction, with a renewed cast and a story adapted to our days, will be released on the streaming platform on Friday, October 15 with four premiere episodes and will premiere the remaining ones one by one every Friday until the end of the season on November 12.
As you may recall, the film directed by Jim Gillespie in 1997 was starred by a cast that at the end of the 90s was pure magic, starred on the covers of Superpop and were common in the folders of adolescents: Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe and Freddie Prinze Jr. They were in charge of getting into the shoes of a group of teenagers, handsome and popular, who on graduation night faced a tragic accident that would not only change their lives, but would completely terrify them it would become his worst nightmare. Now, more than 20 years later, Amazon has set out to reconstruct the history of one of the icons of teen horror movies and has done so in the form of a series Developed by Sara Goodman which is again based on Lois Duncan’s 1973 novel.
