Great success at the Théâtre du Capitole for Mozart’s “The Magic Flute”, directed by choreographer Pierre Rigal. There are only a few places left for Tuesday, December 28.

“Since the first performance of The Magic Flute, the room has been packed,” says Christophe Ghristi, artistic director of the Théâtre du Capitole. I can not believe it. And at the same time I understand this craze: Mozart’s music is so luminous, it does so much good. Scheduled from December 19 to 30, the Opera… seduction du Capitole is therefore a dazzling success, both commercially (the total number of spectators should be around ten thousand) and artistically. “Some did not like the contemporary winks wanted by Pierre Rigal but they are a minority. The magic and the tale character of La Flûte are respected and everyone is touched by the freshness of the set: the young singers are wonderfully gifted. “
There remain of course the problems linked to the pandemic. A handful of musicians and choir members from the Capitol had to forfeit. But the device, watched like milk on the fire, held out, “thanks to the great rigor of the artists”. Only three performances left for everything to be perfect …
