France 2 broadcast this Thursday, January 13 a new issue of “Cash Investigation” revealing an investigation into our health system. Élise Lucet wanted to involve the Minister of Health, Olivier Véran, but he refused.
New controversy around Élise Lucet’s show “Cash Investigation”. France 2 broadcast this Thursday, January 13, a new issue of its investigative magazine entitled “Liberté, health, inequalities…”. The journalist and her teams offered viewers an investigation into our health system in the midst of the Covid-19 health crisis.
And even before the issue of the show aired, Élise Lucet spoke out and said she regretted the fact that the Minister of Health, Olivier Véran, refused an interview.
“I understand that Olivier Véran is extremely busy at the moment with the Covid, and has been for two years. He works like crazy, it shows, he is on the ground all the time and I have no worries there. above. But we asked him for a thirty-minute interview”, she explained on the Europe 1 antennas on Wednesday January 12, the day before the broadcast of the investigative magazine.
Olivier Véran wanted a live interview
The Minister of Health, for his part, wanted an interview under live conditions. What Élise Lucet and France 2 refused: “I find that asking a journalist and a program manager to do live when there is no live, it is not playable and that it would entail enormous expenses to do so, it is not possible”, she explained at the microphone of Europe 1.
The journalist then did not change her habits: she tried to establish an exchange with Olivier Véran on the ground during one of her trips. The latter replied that he had offered to come live. Élise Lucet said she had been waiting for an interview for six months.
