Proposed by the community of communes of Quercy Caussade, the concert given last Friday, at the Bonnaïs space in Caussade, offered the approximately 150 music-loving spectators present a quality musical evening. As an appetizer, the thirty students and teachers of the Quercy Caussade intercommunal music school, placed under the guidance of Corinne Véronèse, director of the school, showed the full extent of their ability to play together and to progress towards excellence according to a repertoire including famous tunes such as “Les Cornichons”, by Nino Ferrer, Armstrong by Claude Nougaro or “Les Moulins de mon coeur”, by Michel Legrand, but also “Rock overture”, by Marcel Saurer, or “You raise me up”, by Rolf Lovland.
In the second part, Timoté Bergez demonstrated that there was no age to conduct a large harmony orchestra made up of wind instruments and percussion. Very communicative, expressive and sometimes even facetious, this young 28-year-old trumpet player has demonstrated that he knows how to handle the baton in perfect osmosis with his sixty musicians, to the delight of a delighted and won over audience. In the repertoire, “Peris Overture”, by James L. Hosay; “Zeppelin Symphony”, by Thomas Doss, and “Sing sing sing”, by Louis Prima, and “Naohiro Iwai” for interpretations that are explosive to say the least.
Timoté Bergez on trumpet and drumstick
Timoté Bergez began playing the trumpet at the age of seven at the music school in Ramonville-Saint-Agne (31), in Michel Lassalle’s class. Very quickly, he developed an eclectic taste for music, participating in departmental harmony courses, as well as in the Big Band 31 Cadet led by Philippe Léogé. His entry to the Toulouse Conservatory in the jazz and trumpet course allows him to deepen his knowledge in these different disciplines. His interest in conducting led him in the footsteps of Jean-Guy Olive, and he joined his conducting class at the Toulouse Conservatory. Currently, Timoté Bergez is a trumpet teacher in several structures, including the music school of Quercy caussadais: a real chance for young apprentice trumpeters.
