Deepika Padukone’s entry in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Baiju Bawra’? ‘Dacoit Roopmati’ will play the role
Bollywood’s famous producer-director Sanjay Leela Bhansali is busy these days with new projects. According to reports in the past, Sanjay has joined hands with Shah Rukh Khan for the upcoming film ‘Izhar’. Now according to Pinkvilla’s latest report, Sanjay Leela Bhansali is currently in talks with his favorite actress Deepika Padukone for ‘Baiju Bawra’.
There have been several meetings between Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Deepika Padukone for the character of this film and discussions are still going on about the film. According to a source attached to the portal, ever since Sanjay Leela Bhansali has decided to make ‘Baiju Bawra’, he has been thinking about casting Deepika Padukone in the film.
In this film, Deepika can be seen playing the role of Rani Rupmati, the dacoit of 1952. Both Deepika and SLB have discussed the film and the character. Paperwork is yet to be done and some aspects have to be agreed upon by both sides. After this, things will be taken forward regarding the film.
The source further said, ‘Bhansali’ is working on the edit and post-production of Gangubai Kathiawadi. There is a team at his workplace, who are taking small steps in preparation for ‘Baiju Bawra’. After Deepika Padukone’s consent, the rest of the actors will be talked about in the film.
After the entire star cast of the film is locked, the makers will announce it officially. The shooting of the film is expected to begin in the middle of next year. Deepika and Sanjay have previously worked together in films like ‘Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram-Leela’, ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and ‘Padmavat.
