The film, directed by Sam Raimi and co-starring Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, has meant for UCM fans a trip through the multiverse with some touches of terror. On Earth-838, Peggy Carter it is Captain Carter (Hayley Atwell). UCM fans met this character in the animated series What if…? Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness could have paved the way for a story Secret Wars. In this comics story, the Earths of the entire multiverse face each other in a great battle. What seems to have laid the foundations for this story is the appearance of Clea in the film’s first post-credits scene, who seeks help from Stephen Strange to fix a raid.
