‘Holy Spirit’, ‘The Refuge’ and ‘Unforgivable’ and are other titles that will be added to the billboard from Friday, November 19.
The Spanish billboard continues to recover normality, and week after week new titles arrive for all tastes. This Friday, November 26, you will be able to enjoy on the big screen the new Disney adventure, Encanto; from Ridley Scott’s latest feature The House of Gucci, starring Lady Gaga and Adam Driver, and the reboot of the franchise Resident Evil, with Welcome to Raccoon City.
But these aren’t the only movies to land in theaters this weekend. The drama starring Javier Gutiérrez, La hija; the surprise of the Sitges Festival, Lamb, and the Spanish science fiction drama, Espíritu sagrado, are other premieres that you cannot miss.

This weekend comes to the Spanish billboard Charm, the new animated feature film from the Disney studio. The film takes us to Colombia, to a small magical town where the Madrigal family lives. Since the matriarch, Alma, received a magic candle, each of the Madrigal has been blessed with a special gift. All except Mirabel, one of Alma’s granddaughters, who due to unknown circumstances did not obtain any divine qualities when trying to open her magic door. While the young woman wonders why she is different from the other members of her family, she soon discovers that it could be up to her to save the integrity of the Madrigal family and their entire town.

‘The Gucci house’
The new feature film as director of Ridley Scott, The Gucci house, is another of the novelties that you can find from Friday, November 26 in theaters. Starring Lady Gaga, Adam Driver and Al Pacino, the film is inspired by the real events surrounding the murder of Mauricio Gucci, grandson of the founder of the prestigious fashion firm. In 1995, his wife Patrizia Reggiani was accused of having hired a hit man to kill Mauricio, after discovering that he was having an affair with another woman.
‘Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City’
The franchise Resident Evil returns to the big screen with Welcome to Raccoon City, the feature film directed by Johannes Roberts, which tells the origins of the story inspired by the well-known video game series. Set in the 90s, the plot follows Claire Redfield (Kaya Scodelario), a woman who travels to Raccoon City, after it reaches her ears that the water could be being poisoned. In trying to find out who is behind this terrible event, and stop the zombie boat, he teams up with his brother, Agent Chris (Robbie Amell), and rookie cop Leon Kennedy (Avan Jogia).
The daughter is the title of the feature film starring Javier Gutierrez which opens this weekend in Spanish cinemas. Directed by Manuel Martín Cuenca, the film tells the story of a young woman (Irene Virgüez) in a juvenile center. Upon discovering that she is pregnant, her world is turned upside down at the thought that her baby will be taken away from her. One of her teachers (Gutiérrez), and his wife (Patricia López Arnaiz), decide to take her into their home and keep her hidden during the nine months of pregnancy. The only requirement is that you must deliver your child to them at birth. Everything goes smoothly until the baby’s father (Sofian El Ben) is released from prison, and the teacher and his wife’s plans are altered.

Noomi Rapace stars in Lamb, the feature film directed by Valdimar Jóhannsson that won three awards at the last Sitges Film Festival, for Best Film, Best Actress and the Citizen Kane Award for New Director. Also screened at the Cannes Film Festival, the film follows María and Ingvar, a childless couple who live in a little house in the mountains of Iceland. One day they discover that one of the newborn sheep has a certain resemblance to a human girl. This unique discovery encourages them to take her home to care for her like a daughter. What they don’t know is that their decision could have dire consequences.

We close the list of featured releases of the weekend with the sci-fi drama, Holy spirit. Directed by Chema Garcia Ibarra, the film tells the story of José Manuel, one of the members of the UFO association Ovni-Levante. Every week they meet to chat about new abductions and extraterrestrial messages that have reached their ears. When the leader of the organization, Julio, dies suddenly, José Manuel becomes the only one who knows a mysterious secret that could alter the integrity of humanity. To this is added that for weeks a missing girl has been searched. A case that will soon splatter José Manuel.

The Spanish comedy, El Refugio; the ‘thriller’ starring Sandra Bullock, Unforgivable; the family animation film, Mice and Foxes.
