‘Euphoria’ puts an end to the wait: When, how and where to see the episodes of season 2

The wait is over. Season 2 of Euphoria has already premiered on HBO Max.

Sam Levinson’s acclaimed series, adaptation of the Israeli series of the same name, was a true phenomenon on its premiere in summer 2019 and became one of the leading series of that year. It also earned Zendaya an Emmy Award for Outstanding Actress in a Drama, and since we first saw her, we’ve really wanted to pick up on the story of the genuine Rue and Jules (Hunter Schafer) after that heartbreaking scene at the train station that put the finishing touch to the first installment.

The wait has been long, but the second installment of the acclaimed teen drama has finally seen the light. It did so on January 9, 2022 on its original HBO network and it is also available in Spain from HBO Max from today, January 10, 2022.

The first episode of the second installment, ‘Trying to Get to Heaven Before They Close the Door’ (2×01), will help you meet the two young protagonists, but that will be all for now since There are eight chapters in total that make up the new season and they will be made available to subscribers of the streaming platform on a weekly basis.

Why has ‘Euphoria’ season 2 been so delayed?

After becoming one of the revelations of 2019, the commission for a second season was not long in coming. However, the wait for its premiere has lasted no more and no less than two and a half years. You can already imagine the reason: the Covid-19 pandemic.

The filming of the second installment of Euphoria was scheduled to start in March 2020, just as it all blew up and the industry came to a complete standstill. However, once the activity has been recovered between important security measures, the process of balancing the agendas of those involved as well as the start-up of all the machinery has taken time.

Luckily, the team of the series and HBO agreed to produce and premiere two special episodes: ‘The striped ones are not eternal’, centered on Rue (Zendaya) and released in the month of December 2020; and ‘Los perfectos am * marla’, centered on Jules (Schaffer) and released in January 2021, just a year ago.

After that, Sam Levinson assured that the idea was to shoot and release in 2021 and although it has not been completely fulfilled, the truth is that Euphoria It is one of the first releases of 2022.

What to expect from ‘Euphoria’ season 2?

Not many details have been revealed about season 2, so we will have to find out what happens little by little and from week to week.

What is certain and the official trailer released by the platform gave evidence of this. Rue has fully relapsed into her addictions and is surrounded by bad company. His relationship with Jules continues to be a key part of the series’ plots, although now a third person will come into play that will complicate things even more. In addition, other characters will be living difficult stages, like Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) and Maddy (Alexa Demie), who we also see prominently in the trailer.
