In the presence of their relatives and the singer Francis Lalanne, Igor and Grichka Bogdanoff were buried this Wednesday in the cemetery of Saint-Lary, their native village.
Died from Covid six days apart, Grichka on December 28 and Igor on January 3, the Bogdanoff brothers were buried this Wednesday January 12 in the morning in the small cemetery of Saint-Lary, a Gers village where they were born on August 29, 1949. On Monday, a public funeral took place at the Madeleine church in Paris. “They are world celebrities. They were particularly intelligent people, far more than the average”, confides Bernard Cahuzac, the mayor of Saint-Lary, before the burial.
Shortly before 11 a.m., once all the relatives of the two deceased were present, the two light oak coffins reached the end of the central aisle of the small cemetery of Saint-Lary. The very place where the Bogdanoff brothers’ grandmother rests.
“They were two very endearing people, very kind, who helped others”
There, several relatives of the deceased spoke in turn, with emotion, to pay a last tribute to Igor and Grichka, like the singer Sasha Bogdanoff, one of Igor’s daughters. Moment also chosen by Francis Lalanne, to sing a song, his tube “Think of me as I love you”, to say a last farewell, in his own way, to the Bogdanoff brothers. “Even if we are lucky to have lived moments by their side, we tell ourselves that we have not had enough. They are not people you can leave easily. When they leave , it’s a part of us that goes with them”, he had already declared Monday during the funeral in Paris, with our colleagues from the Parisian.

I remember their grandmother. She had a convertible car and she took them with her. They did not go unnoticed in the streets of Auch”, finally relates a resident of Saint-Lary .
Around 12 p.m., the coffins of Igor and Grichka finally reached their last resting place after being installed in two communal vaults.
