Goodbye to the protagonist in ‘Avatar 3’: James Cameron misses the great change that the saga will introduce

The director has already shot the third installment of the franchise and part of the fourth film that will continue the story of Neytiri and Jake Sully.

The world of Pandora has come back to stay. Avatar: The Sense of Water, the sequel to the saga directed by James Cameron, has grossed more than one billion dollars worldwide -approaching two billion dollars- and is already the seventh highest grossing film in cinema history. This means that the history of neytiri (Zoe Saldana) Y Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) has secured his continuation with avatar 3.

Cameron has revealed that he has already filmed the third installment of the saga and part of avatar 4. But, facing the sequel to the sense of water, the filmmaker is going to introduce an important change: the narrator. Jake Sully will no longer be in charge of that task, it will be lo’ak (Britain Dalton), the second son of the leading couple.

“I’ll take a moment when things settle down and gauge what people loved and responded to the most in this version,” Cameron begins on the podcast. soundtracking. “It won’t be radical, but maybe readjust to empathize with what people are responding to. For example, Lo’ak has come across as a character who has fit in with the people, so he could find ways to… now he’s the storyteller.. Oh, I’m talking too much.”

“I’ve only had four or five good ideas. I’m recycling them”: James Cameron confirms the connection between ‘Avatar’ and ‘Titanic’

In both the first film and the sequel, viewers experienced the adventures of the characters through Jake Sully. However, things will change as the following installments are released. In avatar 3 It will be, as the filmmaker has confirmed, lo’ak the person in charge of narrating the events. Face to avatar 4 things will change again.

As Cameron adds:

Jake was our voice-over narrator for the first and second movies, and we have a different narrator for each of the movies that follow. We see it through the eyes of a different character

If everything goes according to plan, avatar 3 will hit theaters on December 20, 2024. The idea is to make a total of four sequels and the rest, avatar 4 Y avatar 5will land on billboards on December 18, 2026 and the December 22, 2028.
