The actresses of the Turkish soap opera forged a close relationship during filming, which is just as alive months after they stopped working together.
What Love is in the air has joined, that nothing or no one separates it. The filming of the Turkish soap opera was a huge increase in popularity for its protagonists and gave them the opportunity to meet people so close to them that they have become key parts of their lives. This is what happened to Hande Erçel and Kerem Bürsin, who now have a beautiful love relationship. But they have not been the only ones.
Enemies in ‘Love is in the air’, friends in real life: Hande Erçel’s beautiful gesture with Bige Önal (Selin)
The actress who gave life to Eda also made very good friends with Bige Önal, who played Selin, her great enemy in fiction. In front of the cameras, they argued and hated each other openly, but behind them they were confidants and very supportive of each other. Although they have long since stopped working together, specifically since the end of the first season of the series, that has not stopped them from continuing to enjoy their company.
Some days ago Erçel uploaded an image with his ex-partner where they are seen hanging out in full confidence. We don’t know if it had something to do with it, but Önal is going through a breakup after breaking up with Aras Bulut, her boyfriend for the last six years. They were one of the most stable couples among the Turkish celebrities, so the news was a real surprise. Maybe they are meeting to catch up and help Önal forget his personal problems for a while.
If so, it would not be the first time that they would support each other in hard times. In March 2021, Önal lost his father to a brain hemorrhage. It took place in the middle of filming Love is in the air, but Erçel found a space to get closer to his friend’s hometown and accompany him through these difficult times. The protagonist of the fiction knew perfectly well what she was going through, since she herself suffered the loss of her mother in 2019.
Leaving aside Bige Önal and Hande Erçel, the rest of the cast members have experienced something similar. From Elçin Afacan, the actress who has played the endearing Melo, to Anıl İlter (Engin), Başak Gümülcinelioğlu (Pyryl) and, of course, Kerem Bursin, all of them said goodbye with great regret to their recording experience.
