‘Hotel Transylvania 4’ premieres on Amazon Prime Video. This is the end? from the adventures of Dracula and his gang of monsters

This Friday, January 14, ‘Transformania’ arrives on the streaming platform, the new (and it seems the last) installment of the animated saga.

You have an appointment this Friday with dracula and his gang of monsters in Amazon Prime Video. The streaming platform opens this Friday, January 14, Hotel Transilvania: Transformanía, the fourth installment of the animation saga. The arrival of this film is good news for fans of the franchise, but it is also a somewhat bittersweet premiere since everything indicates that this new adventure will be the last.

Directed by Derek Drymon and Jennifer Kluska, Hotel Transilvania 4 bring back to Drac and his monstrous friends in an adventure in which they will have to face a terrifying event. Everything starts when Johnny, the son-in-law of the protagonist and partner of Mavis, believes that his father-in-law does not accept him because he is different. To solve this problem, Johnny asks for help from Van Helsingwho gives him the Monstrifier Ray.

Instead of making things easier, this contraption complicates everything when humans become monsters and monsters become humans. Dragon included! There is only one way to solve this problem: that the protagonist and Johnny join forces so that everything returns to normal before it is too late.

The mission ahead of them is complicated, as Johnny loves being a monster, but Drac has been stripped of all his powers. Luckily, Mavis and the protagonist’s gang will help this peculiar son-in-law-father-in-law couple on their journey around the world. Will they win this race against time?

In its original version, Selena Gomez returns to lend her voice to Mavis. Also Andy Samberg is back as Johnny. Drac, meanwhile, is voiced by Brian Hull. The latter takes over from Adam Sandler, who played the protagonist in the previous three installments. Steve Buscemi, David Spade and Keegan-Michael Key are also part of the film’s cast.

Although nothing is officially confirmed, Hotel Transilvania: Transformanía is the denouement for the saga created by Genndy Tartakovsky. “I’m going to miss the end products we always see”, start Key at Fatherly. “The films are very well made and have a high level […] I’m going to miss seeing them because, if this really is the last one, I’m going to miss seeing a new one.”

Samberg, for his part, has responded to the question of what else is he going to miss from the franchise if this is the end in Collider: “I don’t like to admit that this is over. If we say that we are only giving in to Sony. I do not know. I will miss it all. It’s been such a fun thing to do. I will miss travel.

the saga Hotel Transilvania debuted in 2012 and, after two more deliveries –Hotel Transilvania 2 (2015) and Hotel Transylvania 3: A Monster Vacation (2018)-, the franchise has grossed in theaters over $1.3 billion worldwide. Transformania is the first film in the franchise to premiere directly on Amazon Prime Video without first going through theaters.
