‘Hotel Transylvania: Transformania’ to premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video

The fourth of the animation saga will be available on the streaming platform for everyone on January 14, 2022.

Hotel Transylvania: Transformania, the fourth installment of the successful animation saga, will premiere worldwide and exclusively in Amazon Prime Video. The film, directed by Derek Drymon and Jennifer Kluska, will be available on the streaming platform, in more than 240 territories, the January 14, 2022.

“The success of the saga of Hotel Transylvania over the years it speaks for itself “, says Jennifer SalkeHead of Amazon Studios in a statement. “Audiences around the world have fallen in love with the films created by the brilliant Genndy Tartakovsky, and the latest installment is the perfect ending to an incredible journey.”

The saga debuted in 2012 with Hotel Transilvania And this film was followed by three more: Hotel Transilvania 2 (2015), Hotel Transylvania 3: A Monster Vacation (2018). Altogether, the franchise has raised more than 1.3 billion dollars worldwide.

The fourth installment, which you can see on Amazon Prime Video at the beginning of the year, brings back to Dragon and the funny gang of monsters, who will undergo a radical change. When Johnny, the protagonist’s son-in-law, senses that his father-in-law does not accept him for not being like him and his group, asks for help from Van Helsing. The latter hands him the Monstrifying Ray and everything turns to chaos: monsters turn into humans and humans turn into monsters. After this event, Johnny and Drac must join forces and work side by side to solve the problem before it is too late.

In the film’s original voice cast, Hotel Transylvania: Transformania has Brian Hull as Drac, Andy Samberg as Johnny and Selena Gomez -in addition to being an actress, also as an executive producer of the film- as Mavis. Steve Buscemi as Wayne, David Spade as Griffin and Keegan-Michael Key as Murray round out the main cast. The creator of the franchise, Genndy Tartakovsky, is also back as an executive producer and screenwriter.
