Corey Stoll got into the skin of Darren Cross/Yellow Jacket in ant man. The character was the villain of the first great adventure of scott lang (Paul Rudd) as Ant-Man. At the end of the film, Stoll’s character is defeated. But, as MCU fans are well aware, no one really dies in the franchise and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania It has meant a second chance for the actor.

“I remember in the first movie Corey came up to me after he was shooting his last scene and said: ‘Oh. It is a pity. I have to die in this movie. I love working on the Marvel movies.. I told him: ‘Yes. It’s a shame,” says the director of the saga Peyton Reed to SensaCinema.

“It’s grotesque”: ‘Ant-Man 3’ introduces a new character, but his actor has already appeared as a villain in the UCM

But, years later, magic happened. Reed presented the idea to Stoll, to come back and do it, on top of that, as one of the most iconic characters in Marvel comics: MODOK. “Something you might not know about Corey, because I don’t think you’ll know it by looking at his movie roles, is that he was a real ‘comic nerd’. So the moment I mentioned the name MODOK he started laughing and was like, ‘Oh. No. No. Really?

Stoll did not think twice about accepting the offer:

I pitched the idea to him and he immediately said, ‘I’m in. I’m in. Let’s do it. I’m shooting my series. I don’t know how to fit it into my schedule, but I have to.’ She got it and jumped on the idea because I didn’t know how I was going to respond to that.

MODOK has already appeared in the previews of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and quickly became one of the most controversial characters in the movie. Some fans were not very happy with his version in the MCU. There are others, however, who are in favor.
