The next concert of the “Winter musical moments” of the Friends of Flaran, the second in a series of concerts “outside the walls of the abbey”, will be given in the multipurpose hall of Lectoure, with the contribution of the association Read aloud, Sunday February 19, at 3 p.m. The guest of this concert is the Quatuor-Élysée (Vadim Tchijik – Pablo Schatzman: violins; Igor Kiritchenko: cello; Andrei Malakhov: viola), which was founded in 1995 by former members of two quartets that each won the Grand Prize at the Evian International Competition.
The unique aspect of the Quatuor-Élysée lies in the confrontation and assimilation of two different schools: the French school and the Russian school. The Quatuor-Élysée has collaborated with musicians such as Pascal Amoyel, Franck Braley, Marie-Joseph Jude, Jean-Marc Luisada, Emmanuelle Bertrand, Marc Coppey, Henri Demarquette, Alain Meunier, François Salque, Gérard Caussé, Michel Lethiec, Paul Meyer, Philippe Bernold and many others. He has also recorded several CDs awarded by the press (“Diapason”, “Classica”) and acclaimed by the public for the labels: Naxos, Timpani, Triton, Continuo Classics, Zig-Zag Territoires, etc.
On the program of the Lectourois concert on Sunday February 19, works by Beethoven, Puccini and Henri VieuXtemps.
