The musician Guillaume Lopez is preparing to take possession of the MJC La Maison, in L’Isle-Jourdain. He will be in concert (1) this Thursday, March 2, from 8 p.m., with his first solo creation entitled “Buf e Votz” (breath and voice). On stage, during his performance, Guillaume Lopez will offer the public a repertoire made up of original compositions and the traditional repertoire of the Pays d’Oc.
The musician will then be present every Tuesday, from March 7 to April 11, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., to offer a vocal journey (2) around his ballroom repertoire. Traditional tunes and original creations constitute the repertoire of this collective adventure in which the public will approach the characteristics of traditional song. Singing to respond, polyphony, variation, choir and solo work will be on the program. No notion of Occitan is required, a regular practice of singing is welcome. Accordionist Thierry Roques will accompany the workshops with his characteristic groove. Presence required for all six sessions and participation in the restitution scheduled on the stage of the MJC on Saturday, April 15, at the opening of the ball entitled “Venètz dançar! Turn Villages”.
