Marvel announces five new series for Disney +: ‘Echo’, ‘X-Men’, ‘Agatha: House of Harkness’, ‘Marvel Zombies’ and ‘Spider-Man’

The Marvel Cinematic Universe increases its catalog of fictions by introducing new characters and recovering some already known to fans.

Marvel Studios expands its series catalog with five new titles that will premiere on Disney +. The Mickey Mouse house has celebrated today the Disney Plus Day, an event in which he has shared announcements of his various studies through his social networks. What new fictions will fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Aim: Marvel Zombies, Echo, Agatha: House of Harkness, Spider-Man: Freshman Year and X-Men ’97.

X-Men ’97 it’s a ‘revival’ of animated fiction from the 90s. As announced by the streaming platform, its premiere is scheduled for 2023. As reported The Wrap, the title will continue the story after the events that occurred at the end of the original fiction X-Men: The Animated Series.

Another of the animated series that Disney + will premiere is Spider-Man: Freshman Year, of which no release date has been confirmed. The fiction will follow Peter Parker in his different adventures until he becomes the Spider-Man of the MCU. Will Tom Holland voice the character?

As for the rest of the live action titles, Agatha: House of Harkness It is the confirmation of what was announced last October. Variety published that Marvel Studios was working on a ‘spin-off’ of Scarlet Witch and Vision upon Agatha Harkness, the villain played by Kathryn Hahn. The aforementioned media described the series as a “dark comedy” and announced that Jac Schaeffer, the screenwriter of Scarlet Witch and Vision, will be the writer and executive producer of the project.

Another of the series is Echo. Disney + has not reported on the release date and has not provided details on the cast. However, the character will appear first in Hawk Eye, the fiction starring Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton and Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop that reaches the streaming platform the November 24. Alaqua Cox is the actress in charge of giving life to Maya lopez, a deaf heroine with muscle memory – just like Taskmaster on Black widow.

As to Marvel Zombies -another animation title-, it is not entirely clear if the fiction will be set in the same reality as that presented in the episode ‘What if… there were zombies?’ (1×05) of the series What would happen if…? or if it will be a way to expand the concept of the undead in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

According to the study, the series will introduce a new generation of heroes they will have to fight a zombie virus. Bryan Andrews will be its director and Zeb Wells its screenwriter.

On the other hand, the future premieres of series already announced as Moon Knight, She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel -première in summer 2022-, the second season of What would happen if…?, I Am Groot, Ironheart and Secret Invasion.
