Only a couple of months separate us from the Marvel season debut in 2022. The one in charge of opening it? The long-awaited Disney+ series Moon Knight, which has been officially announced, will be broadcast in our country under the title of moon knight.
We knew that it would be the first Marvel Studios series for the Disney streaming platform in this new year, but now we finally have a release date to write down on the calendar and, in addition, a first official trailer that undoubtedly allows us to get a good idea of what we can expect from the new fiction.
Disney + has taken advantage of an important American sporting event, the NFL Super Wild Card game this Monday, to launch the long-awaited material, which allows us to see Oscar Isaac as Marc Spector in all his splendor. And look we wanted.
Moon Knight it’s just one of several high-profile Marvel projects coming to Disney+ in the near future. Premiere date of ‘Moon Knight’ on Disney +

In addition, we can count on the broadcast being weekly, although it is not certain if it will debut with a single episode or with several of the 6 that make up the season on the day of its official premiere.

At the time that we have been able to know the premiere date of the long-awaited new Marvel series for Disney +, the streaming platform has published a first trailer that has allowed us to discover a lot of details about moon knight.

Although the first glimpse of moon knight was seen as part of Disney + Day 2021 and in it we could see a small preview of Oscar Isaac in the skin of the titular superhero as well as the life of his character, Marc Spector, suffering from dissociative personality disorder, it is the new trailer that allows us to see the Moon Knight in its maximum splendor. In addition, the trailer also introduces us to the villain of the series, whose identity is still unknown -some but he is played by Ethan Hawke.
Although Marc Spector is Moon Knight’s best-known identity, Isaac is first introduced in the trailer for Marvel’s new series as Steven Grant, one of Marc’s identities in the comics. It does not introduce any other, so it is still eIt’s a question mark if we’ll see any of Marc’s other identities from the comics or if new ones will be introduced outside of the source material.
What is clear is that for the amount of time the trailer spends introducing Steven/Marc’s identity disorder, we can count on it being a key element of the series and explored in depth. Regarding the origins of the character as a superhero and his acquisition of powers, at least for now, Marvel has preferred to reserve surprise and keeps those details of the plot secret.
Official Synopsis for ‘Moon Knight’
Marvel Studios has also shared a official synopsis of moon knight on the occasion of the release of the first trailer:
Marvel Studios’ “Moon Knight” tells the story of Steven Grant, a kind gift shop clerk who suffers from memory loss and experiences flashbacks from another life. Steven discovers that he has dissociative identity disorder and that he shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge, he must grapple with the complexity of their identities as he is drawn into a deadly mystery that dwells among the mighty gods of Egypt.
After the release of the synopsis, fans were quick to notice the absence of Jake Lockley, the vigilante’s third identity, who also does not appear in the trailer and who usually appears in the comics as a taxi driver. Likewise, another change with respect to the first description of the project, which mentioned “the war of the gods”, is that it has eliminated that concept to speak of a “lethal mystery”.
In front and behind the cameras of ‘Moon Knight’
The series stars Oscar Isaac, Ethan Hawke and May Calamawy, the three only names of the cast of the series that have been confirmed to date.
Regarding those responsible for the project behind the cameras, we find Mohamed Diab the duo formed by Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead as directors of the six episodes, while Jeremy Slater is the main screenwriter.
