‘Moon Knight’ Was Going To Have This ‘Eternals’ Cameo And This Is Why It Wasn’t Finally Made

The first season of the series starring Oscar Isaac is now fully available on Disney+.

moon knight It has become the first Marvel series for Disney + not to connect directly with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, not even its post-credits scene as happened with Scarlet Witch and Vision or Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

However, in the initial plan, the series starring Oscar Isaac It was going to have a cameo from one of the leading superheroes from the acclaimed Eternals. Sadly, it wasn’t Kit Harington, whose character in the Martvel Cinematic Universe could have been perfect for him to appear in moon knight to make the group children of midnight from Marvel.

In fact, the creator of the series, Jeremy Slater, has revealed in a recent interview with TheDirectwho wanted Kumail Nanjiani resume his role Eternals like Kingo to appear one in sequence flash back in ancient Egypt. Moreover, he has also explained that he would have liked to have other Eternals.

I tried really hard to get the Eternas involved in the series, just because I’m close friends with Kumail Nanjiani… At one point in the draft script there was a flashback showing one of the Avatars of Konshu in ancient Egypt, more or less dealing with Ammit locked up and Alexander the Great also showing up

Slater goes on to explain that this sequence was originally going to be at the beginning of an epidoyum, but eventually it was removed because it had been too much for the budget they had:

It hurt, but it was also the right thing to do for the show and I think everyone agreed. There’s plenty of time in the future to bring this protagonist together with other characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and start building these connections. Let’s not force something just because the other series have had it

Moon Knight’, the first series that does not connect with the future of Marvel: The post-credits scene, explained

Although this camoe could have been quite an event, staying apart from the rest of the MCU has given moon knight a space to find his own balance and this gives us to understand that it will not be the last time we see Oscar Isaac as Marc Spector / Steven Grant.
