Boarded a truck, in a neighborhood with low streets and with the music playing at full blast. This is the musical look -not official- that we have been able to take Wonka thanks to a fan who can enjoy the recording from the window of his house. Twitter user @_ARTSARTSARTS has shared a short video where Timothée Chalamet appears recording a number that will appear in the long-awaited feature film.

“Gentlemen and gentlemen, without further ado, the main event … THE GREAT Timothée Chalamet at my door recording a musical number for Wonka! I dont believe it! The Timmy Nation Rises! “He writes in the comment that accompanies the images.

The video comes just a few days after the actor published the first official image of the production on his Instagram account. The new adaptation of Roald Dahl’s character, by Paul King on this occasion, seems to preserve the aesthetic that made him famous, with his high top hat and Victorian style. Chalamet also shared a detail of his cane, which has a small bell on a gift box.

Few details are known about the feature film, but something that had been announced and now has been more than confirmed with the video is that it will host musical numbers. What we do not know is how much presence they will have in history.

As for the plot, Wonka will focus on the life of the chocolatier before becoming the famous businessman that opened the most magical factory in the world. That is, we will know a stage of his life that has not been told until now. It’s going to be interesting to see this new approach after Gene Wilder and Johnny Depp’s portrayals in the two previous adaptations.

In addition to Chalamet, the cast includes Keegan-Michael Key and Rowan Atkinson, and the signing of Olivia Colman, Sally Hawkins and Matt Lucas is expected to be announced shortly. If everything goes according to plan, Wonka will hit US theaters in March 2023.
