The ‘Wonder Woman’ actress will play the role of the villain in this live-action version of the Disney classic. Rachel Zegler, meanwhile, will be the protagonist.

The live-action remake of Snow White has already found its male lead: Andrew Burnap. Rachel Zegler will get into the skin of the protagonist of the classic Disney and Gal Gadot will be in charge of giving life to the Evil queen. The three interpreters will be placed under the orders of Marc Webb, who will sit in the director’s chair. This new version of the classic Mickey Mouse House includes changes from the animated film. And it is that, the role that Burnap will play will not be that of the prince or that of the hunter.

As reported Deadline, the actor will give life to a New Character created for this live action ‘remake’. Burnap has worked in film and television, but with little-known films and series. Some of the titles in which he has participated are WeCrashed, The Chaperone Y The Code. The interpreter has tony award for Best Actor for his role on Broadway in Toby Darling in The Inheritance.

This new version of Snow White will feature new songs created by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, who handled the theme songs for La La Land. The project is expected to start shooting in the UK this spring..

At the moment, it is unknown what story this ‘remake’ will tell. Gadot has already announced that the film will be different from the original. “There are so many things I can’t tell you”, said the actress in Variety during the first of Red alert, the Netflix action hit in which he shares the lead with Dwayne Johnson and Ryan Reynolds. “But the version of this story is so different and charming and full of joy… I am very very excited. I wish I could share more.”

As expected with big Disney productions, secrecy will be the order of the day. Therefore, fans may not have many more details about the project until some images of the filming appear or a first preview of the film is shown.
