Ninja Warrior: who will be able to beat the champion Jean Tezenas du Montcel?

the essential
The sixth edition of “Ninja Warrior” is back on TF1 this Friday evening. The only candidate who won the French edition, Jean Tezenas du Montcel, puts his title on the line.

Climb, run, jump, dodge, swing: the candidates of “Ninja Warrior” will sweat again from this Friday evening. The sixth edition of the TF1 game is back on TF1 for several weeks. With the same objective for the candidates: to cross an obstacle course as quickly as possible. This is the second year that the program is broadcast in winter, still presented by Denis Brogniart, Christophe Beaugrand and Iris Mittenaere.

Big news this year: there will be no longer two but three obstacle courses to reach the final. Alongside the qualifying course and the semi-finals, the candidates will find the “steel tower battles” on the way. The ten best candidates will have to be decided in a face-to-face meeting by climbing giant steps of 1.20 meters high. The first to win each duel will qualify for the semi-finals where there will be only three places.

The figure of “Ninja Warrior” is Jean Tezenas du Montcel. The young man from Sallanches in Haute-Savoie is the only candidate who won the French version of the show. He will once again put his title on the line this season. Two years ago, he climbed the Heroes’ Tower in 32 seconds and 45 hundredths and won 100,000 euros.

Former candidates will also be back this season such as Nicolas Cerquant, Jérémy Pasquereau, Phil Gud or the former skater Gwendal Peizerat. Faced with these champions, young candidates and a few women will try their luck.

“Ninja Warrior” had gathered 4 million followers during the five programs broadcast in January 2021, an audience share of 17.3% among viewers aged 4 and over.
