Pedro Pascal fell asleep in one of the most memorable scenes of ‘Game of Thrones’: “It was like a nap”

The actor stars in the two series of the moment today: ‘The Mandalorian’ and ‘The Last of Us’.

Before The Mandalorian and The Last of Us, Pedro Pascal was recognized in his day for giving life to Oberyn Martell in Game of Thrones, as well as detective Peña in Narcos. But his role in the series based on George RR Martin’s novels put him at the center of any fiction-related conversation.

And it is not surprising, since by becoming one of the favorite characters of Game of Thrones, his story quickly ended at the hands of the Mountain. Literally. we all remember how Hafpor Julius Bjornsson crushed Pedro Pascal’s eyes in Game of Thrones in a battle to the death.

But did you know that in that scene the actor from The Last of Us did you fall asleep completely? This was confirmed in an interview with SensaCine on the occasion of the premiere of Kingsman: The Golden Circle:

We shot that scene in Croatia in a spectacular location. It was very difficult because it was like a circle and the sun beat down there all day. It was very hot, but at the end of the day you could take out the whole weapon and throw yourself into the sea that was next to it. And shooting it was the best part because I could lie down. And Hapfor sat on top of me and the blood running down his face was cool. […] And I fell asleep. It was like a nap. It was the best part of that fight

Pedro Pascal is currently at the center of all conversations, more than when he starred in Narcos and Game of Thrones. The Last of Us is the main cause of this, the HBO Max series based on the PlayStation video game of the same name created by Neil Druckmann, the same one behind the series along with Craig Mazin (Chernobyl).

The actor gives life to Joel, a mercenary in a post-apocalyptic world where he must escort a girl who could be the future of humanity since she is immune to the cordyceps fungus, the cause of the death of millions of people.

‘The Last of Us’: Pedro Pascal is not the real Joel and you already met him in episode 8

HBO Max has already given it a second season that is expected to premiere sometime in 2024 and that will adapt the second video game, one of the most acclaimed by both critics and fans of the game.

Next Monday March 13 the ninth and final episode of the first season of The Last of Us.
