How it all started? That is the question you will answer Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccon City, the new installment of the film franchise based on the video games of Capcom. The film, directed and written by Johaness Roberts (At 47 meters), opens in theaters on December 30 and Sony Pictures has released its first trailer.
Based on the first two video games of Resident Evil, Welcome to Raccoon City tells how the city that gives the film its name went from industrial zone to ground zero of the T-virus outbreak, a biological weapon that causes the infected a cannibal hunger.
The film is set in 1998, before the franchise starring Milla Jovovich, an actress who starred in six film installments of the saga Resident Evil. His character was that of Alice, a former security specialist and undercover agent who fights against Umbrella corporation, whose biological weapons have triggered the apocalypse.
Kaya Scodelario (Hell under water) and Avan Jogia (Zombieland: Kill and Finish) are the protagonists of the film. The first one gets under the skin of Claire Redfield, a woman who comes to Raccoon City to visit her brother Chris Redfield, played by Robbie Amell (The Flash). Claire is hell-bent on uncovering what caused the Umbrella corporation. Jogia, meanwhile, plays the policeman Leon S. Kennedy.
Amell’s character works for an elite division of the police force. Hannah John-Kamen (Ant-Man and Wasp) from life to Jill Valentine, another member of Chris Redfield’s group known as Special Tactics and Rescue Services.
Rounding out the main cast is Tom Hopper (The Umbrella Academy) y Neal McDonough (Legends of Tomorrow). On these lines, do not miss the trailer of Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City.
