Before the end of this year, the followers of Paul Verhoeven’s film will finally be able to fulfill a dream: become RoboCop and patrol the streets of Detroit. During the Nacon Connect held by the video game company today, a gameplay look has been shared at RoboCop: Rogue City which reveals a proposal that is at least interesting and somewhat “robotic” that will, unfortunately, arrive several months later than expected.
The new trailer for the action-shooter video game in the first person from Teyonbut enough to find how RoboCop: Rogue City wants to honor the science fiction character of the 80s. As such, the shared footage reveals intense Gunfight sequences, hand-to-hand combat and exploration of scenarios in search of clues. Also we know that production will have some kind of decision systemso that the player can decide how to fulfill the main directives in their own way, “but be careful as the story unfolds, because corruption and greed have no limits.”
The proposal seems interesting on a visual levelAlthough we will have to wait for more extensive gameplay demonstrations to clear up any doubts with its finish. For now, it seems that we are dealing with a first-person shooter with a lot of freedom in the action that adapts the walk of police officer Alex Murphy quite well. The video game will hit stores for pc, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in September. Initially it was scheduled for June.
RoboCop: Rogue City is being developed by Teyon, a team with experience working on major pop culture franchises. For example, they are responsible for Terminator: Resistance and Rambo: The Video Game, the latter an unfortunate memory for fans of the character.
