Just a few days ago, NVIDIA launched its new graphics card, the RTX 4070 Ti. Without having finished digesting all the news from CES 2023 yet, today we have new rumors that talk about the next steps of the green team: the RTX 4060 Ti and RTX 4070.
Obviously, there is still no official announcement on the subject, and it is that the green team wants the 4070 Ti to be the one that occupies the center of all attention during the next weeks and even months. This hasn’t stopped leaks and rumorswhich already deal with the next models of graphics cards that could hit the market.
According to sources close to the Anglo-Saxon portal Wccftech, the RTX 4060 Ti and RTX 4070 are going to go into production very soon. Our peer sources claim that these new graphics cards would be of the AD104 variant, using the same chip as the RTX 4070 Tialthough in a version with fewer features.
The latter, in particular, uses the AD104-400-A1, while its little sisters they would be AD104-250 and AD104-251, hinting that they will be, unsurprisingly, inferior to NVIDIA’s latest offering. With the numerical closeness they have, it can be speculated that they will be relatively similar in performance, although all that remains to be seen.
Rumors suggest that production could begin as early as next month, reaching its mass stage during March. Far from staying alone in that, there is talk that both GPUs could have 200W of TDP, although that is something that could change during production. Likewise, the RTX 3060 Ti and RTX 3070 have a TDP of 200 and 220W respectively, meaning that in terms of consumption, if nothing changes, these successors are very similar.
At the moment, there has been no talk of release dates or an announcement by NVIDIA. It can be speculated that, if the rumors about its production are real, we may have a mention in Computex 2023, which will be held in Taipei from May 30 to June 2. As always, it must be emphasized that none of this is confirmed, so do not be put off because of the rumors and wait for an official announcement that, if true, should arrive in the coming months.
