Sanjay Kapoor reminisces his first shot for ‘Raja’ with Madhuri Dixit
Sanjay Kapoor has penned a memorable note on Instagram reminiscing his first day on sets with Madhuri Dixit. The couple shared the frame in ‘Raja’ and Sanjay’s post was an ode to 26 years of the film’s release.
Sharing a clip from the romantic drama, Sanjay Kapur wrote, “26 years of Raja #timeflies, We started shooting for Raja with this song in Ooty, Zara Phir Se Kehna was the first shot I gave 😍 , I cannot thank Madhuri enough for making me so comfortable on set never felt I was working with a super super super STAR. What a super team we had.”
Summing up his journey in acting, from Bollywood films to OTT, Sanjay Kapoor had told “It has been a long time but I still remember the first shot that I gave was for the song, ‘Aati Nahi..’; this was even before 1995. I am moving on from movies to OTT platforms, which is all the rage today.
Obviously, there have been a lot of hurdles but it was a great journey and I am glad that people still want to see me and love me, and I got to do some good work. It feels good that all my hard work is finally paying off”.
Sanjay Kapoor’s daughter Shanaya Kapoor is a social media sensation and is prepping for a grand launch in Bollywood. She will be launched in films by Karan Johar’s production house. Before facing the camera, Shanaya began her Bollywood journey as an assistant director.
She worked behind the scenes for ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’, which featured her cousin Janhvi Kapoor in the lead role. Shanaya Kapoor had also made an appearance on the much-talked-about web series ‘Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives’, which starred her mother Maheep Kapoor.
