Until the end of December, the Aïda association and the Orchester du Capitole are opening a crowdfunding campaign for the Demos project, giving young people access to musical practice.
The Orchester national du Capitole de Toulouse and the Aïda association (which brings together its patrons) ardently defend the Démos project, devised at the Philharmonie de Paris and extended to several cities in France.
The objective is to raise € 30,000 to allow 105 young people aged 7 to 12 from the Orchester Démos Toulouse Métropole – Département de la Haute-Garonne to perform on the prestigious stage of the Philharmonie de Paris in June 2022.
This campaign is open to everyone: musicians or not, music lovers or not, to music lovers, audiences, patrons, individuals, companies or simply those who wish to support an educational project for children who do not always have access to this culture. musical.
Démos (Musical and orchestral education system with a social vocation) is a project of education, discovery and initiation to musical practice in an orchestra.
This project is aimed at young people living in sectors falling under city policy or in areas of rural revitalization. During the 3 years of the Demos cycle, a musical instrument is given to a child, weekly workshops introduce young people to music and restitution concerts are scheduled.
The municipalities concerned by the project
are: Toulouse, Blagnac, Cugnaux, Muret and Terres du Lauragais.
