“The Bodins in Thailand” take the lead at the box office

(AFP) – The comedy “The Bodins in Thailand” dethroned the true-false biopic on Celine Dion, “Aline”, at the head of the box office, with more than 580,000 spectators for its first week of exploitation in theaters movies.

Frédéric Forestier’s film brought together 580,181 people in 488 theaters and is thus better than the previous films featuring the same characters, “Amélie au pays des Bodins” and “Mariage chez les Bodins”.

Valérie Lemercier’s film takes second place in the ranking and has accumulated around 900,000 admissions after two weeks on the screens. Valérie Lemercier plays the Quebec singer from 7 to 50 years old.

The latest Marvel super-production, “The Eternals”, which drew 209,800 spectators for its third week of operation, is in third place.

Signed Chloé Zhao, Oscar winner for “Nomadland”, the film interpreted in particular by Angelina Jolie and Salma Hayek, juggles with a multitude of main characters and lasts 2h37. It has attracted 1.24 million spectators since its release.

It is ahead of “We are made to get along”, a comedy by Pascal Elbé with Sandrine Kiberlain and “Amants”, a romantic thriller by Nicole Garcia.
