“The Eternals” Superheroes Dominate North American Box Office

(AFP) – The film “The Eternals”, the latest addition to the Marvel team and the work of Oscar-winning director Chloe Zhao, has risen to the top of the American box office for its first week of operation, according to estimates provisional reports from the specialist firm Exhibitor Relations published on Sunday.

The feature film, which features a brigade of time-impervious superheroes, sent by a superior force to Earth to protect humanity, raised $ 71 million between Friday and Sunday, despite mixed reviews.

It remains ahead of “Venom: Let There Be Carnage”, in fourth place with $ 4.5 million in revenue. Tom Hardy returns to his role as Eddie Brock, an investigative journalist with superpowers thanks to an alien parasite called Venom.

The animated film “Ron Unlocks”, about a college student and his robot Ron, has managed to steal the fifth position with $ 3.6 million in revenue.
