The show “The favorite comics of the French” put women in the spotlight, Saturday evening, on France 2. A ranking revealed the names of the most popular comedians.

Who are the funniest women in France? Muriel Robin, Florence Foresti or Anne Roumanoff have become queens of humor for many years. Other humorists like Elodie Poux, Elisabeth Buffet or Blanche Gardin have also made a nice place in the sun.

So to find out which comedians made the French laugh the most, France 2 devoted its program “The favorite comics of the French” to women on Saturday evening. The show hosted by Laurence Boccolini was the opportunity to review the most popular sketches of our comedians.

Valérie Lemercier came in fifth place in the standings. The comedian has been a hit since last fall in the skin of Celine Dion in her film “Aline”. In fourth place, viewers chose Muriel Robin. With her sketches like “L’addition”, “Le noir” or “Le salon de coiffure”, she has reigned over the planet of humor for 30 years. In third place, we find Blanche Gardin. The comedian made a name for himself in the “Jamel comedy club” and with his stand-up shows which earned him the Molière for best comedy show in 2017. Anne Roumanoff, who has made millions of French people laugh for over of 30 years, occupies the second place.

In first place, the French people questioned in a poll chose Florence Foresti. With her sketches, her crazy characters at Laurent Ruquier or her performances during the César, she has entertained the French for 20 years.

A year ago, in February 2021, “The favorite comedians of the French” had designated Coluche as the humorist that the French prefer ahead of Florence Foresti and the Unknowns.
