The fiction based on Neil Gaiman’s graphic novels is expected to premiere sometime in late 2021.
Neil Gaiman, Tom Sturridge and Kirby Howell-Baptiste have revealed during the first great Netflix fan event called TUDUM the long-awaited first glimpse of The Sandman, the live action series of comics created by Gaiman for DC
In addition to the preview, which you can see below, the official social networks of the series have also been published where the official and individual posters of the most important characters of the series can be found, such as Dream, Death or Wish (Mason Alexander Park).
In this first teaser we see how Roderick (Charles Dance) begins a ritual in order to capture Death. However, to which capture is his brother Eternal Dream. This audiovisual piece is closely linked to how Gaiman’s famous graphic novels begin.
The changes that have angered fans
The Sandman Netflix has undergone several character changes that have angered several fans. Among them that Death is played by a black actress like she is Kirby Howell-Baptiste or have Lucienne be played by Vivienne Acheampong.

But why not hire Tom Ellis as Lucifer? The Lucifer series is based on the character that appears in Sandman, but this is going to be played by the actress of Game of Thrones Gwendoline Christie. All to make it much easier to understand that they are two totally different series.
