Jean-Jacques Goldman and Sophie Marceau remain the favorite personalities of the French in the Top 50 of the Journal du Dimanche. Thomas Pesquet is making strong progress. Two singers enter the ranking.
They are and remain number 1. Singer Jean-Jacques Goldman and actress Sophie Marceau are still the personalities that the French prefer. They once again rank first in the Top 50 favorite personalities, unveiled this Sunday morning, in the Ifop poll for the JDD.
Jean-Jacques Goldman, who has just celebrated his 70th birthday, has dominated the ranking for 11 years. Sophie Marceau, she has been at the top of the ranking since 2019 when the ranking became equal. “Their first places respond to the same logic: their old relationship with the French has made them icons”, explains to JDD the director general of Ifop Frédéric Dabi.
Among men, astronaut Thomas Pasquet takes second place from actor Omar Sy, demoted third. Thomas Pesquet, who spent part of the year on the International Space Station, jumped nine places. Soprano and FRancis Cabrel complete the first five places.
Among women, the actress Mation Cotillard moved to second place by leaping three places. The Top 5 is completed by comedian Florence Foresti, singer Louane and actress Alexandra Lamy.
Nine entries or returns in the Top 50
If this ranking is relatively stable from one year to the next, nine personalities make their entry or return to this Top 50: Florent Pagny ranked directly 6th, Kad Merad 20th, Christian Clavier 23rd, Antoine Griezmann 25th and among women Françoise Hardy 12th, TV host Faustine Bollaert 21st, Charlotte Gainsbourg 22nd, Catherine Deneuve 23rd and singer Clara Luciana 25th.
Conversely, personalities have left the ranking: the coach of the French football team Didier Deschamps, the doctor Michel Cymès, the actress Catherine Frot or the journalist Claire Chazal.
Neither Emmanuel Macron, nor any of the declared presidential candidates appear in the ranking.
