Vin Diesel asks Dwayne Johnson to return in ‘Fast & Furious 10’: “I will keep my promise to Paul Walker”

The actor has used his Instagram account to make a public appeal to his former co-star in ‘A todo gas’. “Fulfill your destiny”, writes the person in charge of giving life to Dominic Toretto.

The saga At full throttle is just two installments away from putting the finishing touch on the history of Dominic Toretto and his Family. Fast & Furious 10 and Fast & Furious 11 will be the outcome of the successful franchise and its protagonist Vin Diesel wants the closing to be perfect, just as he promised to Paul Walker, the person in charge of giving life to Brian O’Conner who passed away in 2013. That is why Diesel has used his Instagram account to ask Dwayne Johnson to return at the end of the saga as Luke Hobbs.

“My little brother Dwayne… the time has come. The world awaits the end of Fast 10. As you know, my kids call you Uncle Dwayne in my house, “Diesel begins.” Legacy awaits. I told you years ago that I was going to keep my promise to Pablo. I swore that we would arrive and manifest the best ending for Fast & Furious What is it Fast & furious 10! I say this from love … but you must appear, do not leave the franchise, you have a very important role to play. Hobbs cannot be played by someone else. I hope you rise to the occasion and fulfill your destiny“, he concludes.

The behind-the-scenes issues between Diesel and Johnson resulted in The Rock not appearing on Fast & Furious 9 after starring in the ‘spin-off’ Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw junto a Jason Statham. The bad relationship between the two actors started in 2016 after various problems during the production of Fast & Furious 8.

The director of ‘Fast and Furious 9’ points out that there are many ways to continue the franchise after the end

Johnson stated this about what happened without specifying what had really happened: “The girls in the cast are amazing and I love them. The boys, however, are a different story. Some know how to stand up and be great professionals, while others are not capable“.

These problems were joined by Tyrese Gibson, the one in charge of giving life to Roman in the saga. The actor claimed that if Johnson returned to the franchise, he would leave it. He also poked fun at the ‘spin-off’ starring Johnson and described the actor as “selfish” because Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw caused the delay of Fast & Furious 9.

Apparently it all started when Diesel deleted some scenes in Fast & Furious 8 planned by Johnson. The latter declared in the summer of this year: “I wish you all the best. May it go well with Fast 9 and I wish you good luck with Fast 10, Fast 11 and the rest of the films of Fast & Furious what are you going to do without me “. Will a message on Instagram help Johnson change his mind?

Fast & Furious 10 and Fast & Furious 11 both will feature Justin Lin behind the scenes. The tenth installment of the franchise is scheduled to arrive in theaters in the United States on April 7, 2023. Filming is also expected to begin in January 2022. If the dates remain at this point, it seems that Diesel is going to have to go mentally to close At full throttle sin Johnson.
