The episode ‘When you get lost in the dark’ (1×01) is full of nods to the video game and key details in the future events of the plot.

The Last Of Us

The Last of Us, the new HBO Max series, promises to become another great success of the streaming platform. Such is the interest of the public in the adaptation of the famous video game that it is not even afraid of the length of your first episode1 hour and 21 minutes.

If you have already seen the first episode, you will have noticed that there are numerous references to the video game, however, you may have missed an object that appears in the chapter ‘When you get lost in the dark’ (1×01)and that is key in the following events.

During the sequence in which Sara opens a drawer to get a watch, which she will later give to her father, she finds other valuable utensils on which she fixes her attention. One of them is a razor, a classic element of Pedro Pascal’s character in the series.

However, beyond wanting to show only the knife as a nod to the video gameits creators, Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin (Chernobyl), they wanted to take it one step further with a vision of the future. Have you noticed what the detail that hides the famous razor?

When Sara has the knife in her hand, she decides to open it and it is at that moment that three Horses carved on the sheet. If you look closely, the three animals are in motion, not static. Precisely that small detail alludes to how at night, Sara, Tommy and Joel run away together when the chaos that nobody saw coming begins.

In the first episode aired on HBO Max of The Last Of Usthere have been many references that the creators of fiction have decided to leave along the way as breadcrumbs for, above all, fans of the video game.

As with other series, the streaming platform will premiere every monday weekly a new episode of the title starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, in charge of giving life to Ellie.
