Another important detail about the series of Women at the edge of a nervous attack is that there is already a first name attached to its rows. The one who will lead the cast of actors and actresses in charge of getting into the skin of the iconic characters of Carmen Maura, Antonio Banderas, Julieta Serrano, María Barranco and Rossy de Palma. The cast of the adaptation will be led by Gina Rodriguez, the young American actress of Puerto Rican origin who became world famous for her work in Jane the Virgin.
The interpreter will be in charge of giving life to Pepa, the character played by Carmen Maura in the film. In addition, Rodriguez will also be the executive producer of the project together with Pedro Almodóvar, in a team that will be led by screenwriter Noelle Valdivia (Masters of Sex, Mozart in the Jungle), who writes and will be ‘showrunner of the series.
