Why may this be the last time we see Gadot in the DC Universe? Well, because the plans of James Gunn and Peter Safran, new leaders of DC Studiosthey seem to want to wipe the slate clean and almost completely eliminate the Warner Bros. franchise as we know it.
We will have to wait and see what happens, but it is possible that Gadot will follow the same path as Henry Cavill, who will not return as Clark Kent/Superman in the future of the DC Universe. To this we must add that Wonder Woman 3which was confirmed after the premiere of the sequel Wonder Woman 1984seems to have been ruled out.
It is true that Gunn confirmed that the actress had a meeting with him and Safran. What’s more, she said that Wonder Woman will be involved in the franchise, but it has not been clear if Gadot is the one who will get back into her skin or not.. Asked by a Twitter user if there are any plans for the character and if he will be abandoned for a long time, Gunn replied “yes” to the plans and “no” to the abandonment.
